Cybernetics
Cybernetic limb and organ replacements are prevalent and readily available in medical systems, but almost never import any special abilities to the user. They are "as good" as organic counterparts but don't provide any additional strength or speed above what the person would normally be capable of.
Commercial Cybernetic replacements almost always depend on ambient charging that is available in all stations, modern ships, and 'civilized locations. There are niche survivalist and military grade models that are bulkier but house power storage to allow long term functionality without the need for charging.
The major exception to these general rules is the xenophobic Technocracy of Man, which has delved far more deeply into the use of cybernetics as augmentation rather than just replacements. Rumors exist that Technocracy citizens will even undergo elective amputation in order to receive cybernetics - a practice that is considered perverse in most other regions of the galaxy.
